We are very pleased to report that PhD graduate, Dr Shreyashi Dasgupta, has been awarded Honourable Mention, for the prestigious Bayly prize for Best Dissertation.
The Royal Asiatic Society found Shreyashi's dissertation, entitled "The Accommodation City: Private, Low-Income Housing and Urban Space in Dhaka and Mumbai" to be of outstanding merit. Shreyashi has been invited to attend an award evening and give a short talk, and she has been invited to give a lecture on her thesis next Spring.
