New Political Economy has published an article by Development Studies MPhil Director Dr Jostein Hauge titled 'A progressive framework for green industrial policy'. Co-authored with Professor Jason Hickel, this article argues that 'existing frameworks for green industrial policy fail to address unsustainable growth in energy and resource use in high-income economies'. Hauge and Hickel propose an alternative framework that 'combines traditional green industrial policy perspectives with insights from ecological economics and literature on post-growth and degrowth'.
