Ksenia has been working as an independent expert for industry and public sector in the areas of innovations and sustainable development, including the Marketing Agency of the Ministry of Tourism of Ireland, Russian foundations, and regional authorities in Volgograd area, Russia. She has also worked in the projects in the area of international development for Population Council (Cairo Office, Egypt), Council of Europe and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent. In 2011 she worked as intern in the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development (UNRISD).

Research Interests

Ksenia's research interests include Civil Society (particularly Nongovernmental Organisations) and Environmental Policies, Conceptual Debates of Sustainable Development in Public Policy Analysis, and Global Framework of Protection of Human Rights. She is currently a principal researcher in the project 'The Role of Nongovernmental Organisations in Bioscience Policy-making for Food Security'.


Ksenia is the coordinator and teaches on the MPhil  Paper 600 Food, Agriculture and Development.

In the past Ksenia supervised students for Paper 3, Sociology and politics of development Paper 4, Globalisation, business and development (MPhil program in Development Studies, University of Cambridge). She assisted in teaching Paper Built Environment to undergraduate students in the Department of Land Economy, University of Cambridge. She was also a visiting Research Fellow in Trinity College, Dublin. She has lectured for the Master Program in Public Policy, HSE.
