Biography:

Dr Lebdioui works as a fellow in the London School of Economics and Political Science, where he leads the Canning House Research Agenda on the future of trade and green growth in Latin America and the Caribbean. He was previously a fellow in the Political Economy of Development at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS). He has carried out consultancies and analyses for international development organisations such as the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA).

Research Interests

Dr Lebdioui’s research examines the interplay between industrial policy, natural resource management, climate change and the sustainable development agenda. As such, he has published several articles on the political economy of export diversification in resource-dependent countries, commodity value chains, and green industrial policy.

Teaching

Dr Lebdioui coordinates the paper on Natural Resources and Development (Paper 370) for the MPhil in Development Studies.
