Centre of Development Studies



Anna holds an MPhil in Development Studies (2015) and is currently a Ph.D. Candidate at the Centre of Development Studies, University of Cambridge. Anna is also a Cambridge Trust scholar. 


Currently, Anna's research interests lie at the intersection of political economy and public policy, with a focus on development of high technology sector. Her PhD research concentrates on the analysis of the history and potential aircraft manufacturing in post-Soviet countries from the perspective of social and economic development.


Anna also specialises in institutional development and social change. Since coming to Cambridge as a Research Assistant at the Department of Politics, Anna has been involved in projects researching deep-rooted transformation in societies and political systems in transition in a wide range of countries from Kenya and Zambia to Ukraine and Russia.


From 2017, Anna joined SOAS as a teaching fellow in Political Economy of Development. She is also a seminar leader for the Politics of Policymaking course at the Blavatnik School of Government's MPP programme at Oxford.
